Learn and participate in the art of mural painting with Portland’s Lisa Hendricks who leads the concept of “Sankofa” – to bring forward from what was lost or forgotten. The completed mural will permanently hang at the Boston Beach Cultural Centre.

Join U.K. Mural specialist, Tracey Thorne as she discusses the power of painted walls for communities and to transform places. The benefits of murals and more widely -  how “street art” develops places that matter to them and connect people. Tracey will discuss her exhibition from her journey across 5 parishes on the island of Jamaica. With a particular interest in hand-painted advertising signs, street art and graffiti, Tracey’s original research has produced the largest photographic survey of hand-painted street signs (ghost signs) in Birmingham.
