Cinema Paradise VIP Opening
Thank you to all who attended our VIP Launch Event at the Serengeti at Hope Zoo!
The screening of RasTa: A Soul's Journey at Cinema Paradise was a "magical" event in the perfect setting, a bit of paradise so to speak.
I was reminded just how far Rastafari has come and that we still have work to do. In the words of His Imperial Majesty Haile Selassie I, "What we seek is a new and a different way of life. We search for a way of life in which all men will be treated as responsible human beings, able to participate fully in the political affairs of their government; a way of life in which ignorance and poverty, if not abolished, are at least the exception and are actively combatted; a way of life in which the blessings and benefits of the modern world can be enjoyed by all . . ." Big love to all the folks at Cinema Paradise and their sponsors who made it all possible. 1 Love Donisha Prendergast, Actor/Public Speaker/Filmmaker/Partner DSE Jamaica.
Cinema Paradise's 2017 was a memorable world class event . . . organization, venue(s), food, music, staff. I will certainly attend in 2018. In in the meantime, I will spread the word far and wide. Congrats to the entire Cinema Paradise Team! Patricia Scarlett, Founder & Co-CEO Media Business Institute (MBI)

No place, no event like it. Special! Otherworldly! "

About the film:
Rasta is one of a kind – a seductively exotic tour of fascinating cultural phenomenon spawned on the island of Jamaica that has spread around the world, featuring Donisha Prendergast, the lovely granddaughter of the original ambassador of Rasta himself, Bob Marley. This film dispels myths and shows how Marley’s rebel spirit of peace and equality for all people lives on in vibrant communities of Ethiopia, Israel, India, South Africa, England, Canada and of course, Jamaica.
